That has to really rankle the progressives!  Note NPR cannot help but introduce controversy by citing some negative review by a clown at Kirkus...

Good for Rush, good for kids and parents, good for America!   ::cool::

Studies show & have proven (replete with consensus) that the more copies of Rush's book are literally shoved up the asses of liberals...

...the more docile they become.

The teeth gnashing and clothes rending could not be more complete over there at npr. The 'tards are beside themselves! "We've been invaded!" I just indulged in almost an hour of reading comments of shock and disbelief that 1. Rush could be commended of r anything, and 2. that their precious echo chamber could be so thoroughly trampled by hordes of (gasp!) unbelievers!

I saw one comment by a rightie that had almost 500 upvotes. The 'tards were even insinuating that  npr was complicit!

I wanted to weigh in but (even though they use disqus) they require a login and exchange of info and they ain't getting it from me.

Yeah, not gonna do that either...

The Left is displaying its willfull ignorace and knee-jerk conditioning...merely the name "Rush" sends them spinning off into the ether sputtering vile invectives and nonsensical jibberish...

Any intelligent observer can see by the comments which faction in this nation is filled with hate, envy, bias, stupidity and dishonesty...we need not bother ourselves with pointing it out...

We have more important things to do with our time, like be productive and support ourselves and our families, and teach our children independent thinking, morals, and Judeo-Christian values...

Let the Left flounder in the sewer unaided...

I'm reminded of a study that claimed merely being exposed to the American flag (such as on your front porch) made people identify more with conservative values. I think having books like this as part of your childhood reading could make a similar difference. Kids are subjected to out and out brainwashing in public schools, and it gets worse every year. One of the big subjects of discussion at the most recent "White Privilege Conference" (attended by public school teachers on your dime) was the complaint that high school and college students weren't particularly receptive to their contention of white privilege, and that it was therefore necessary to drum home the message with younger students, i.e. find some younger brains that are easier to wash.

I think that is what viscerally disturbs the progressives, they see this success as a threat to their hegemony over the indoctrination of the youths of our nation.

Their disturbance warms me most pleasantly.

My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed Rush's books. She received the first one from her grandfather from Christmas. We didn't even know the 2nd one had come out yet when one afternoon we walked into B&N and were greeted by a big display of the 2nd book. My daughter ran to the display and begged to get it with her own money. Despite the fact that I could have saved her a few dollars by getting it for her on Amazon, the sheer joy she had on her face from the book was irresistible. She started reading it on the way home.

Good for Rush. I really wish other conservatives would see that courage of your convictions can be a winner.
