I think that we are at a point now, where, the red states and blue states could file for a divorce, without a shot being fired.
I think that they don't want us any more than we want them. Just split and go our separate ways.
However, I would offer an 'open enrollment period' where blue states have the option of recanting their ways and joining us.

Fine, but I want the Blues' signature on a pre-nup first, pre-open enrollment.

Unfortunately, while we would be happy to be rid of the Blues, they will never let us live separately in peace. Liberalism is a totalitarian mindset, it demands conformity, and it inserts itself into every aspect of human existence. Plus liberalism has advanced to the degree that it has because for decades it's used regular Americans as cash cows. They aren't going to let that just walk away, it just means we'll probably eventually have to convince them in other ways.

Okay, I'm good with that, too.
I think it only reasonable, however, to first tell them what we want -- to simply be left in peace -- and the consequences for further interference. And then, if they persist, let them reap the whirlwind.
Although I can display a bad temper, I am not a violent person, so the specter of a civil war is not something I desire, wish for or, I daresay, can even imagine in the reality of its horror. I also don't know how much longer I can simply stand by and observe the almost-daily affronts, obstructions, insults and restrictions of my liberty either.
While the entire country has been caught up in the latest Duh Wun bin Laden fiasco-story, the EPA on Friday released a proposal to further restrict and regulate every body of water, down to ditches and puddles, in this country.
The Obama Administration, behind the scenes, is working with the ATF to restrict the importability of "hunting" shotguns, according to descriptions, definitions and approval of the types and uses, including for "officially-recognized" sporting and competitive events.
There is also the proposal to tax drivers per mile, which the Administration claims is not of its origin.
Meantime, the Debt Ceiling ..... and on, and on, and on.

Edited for clarification.

Agreed.
We should try the legal route to peaceful separation on our terms, if rebuffed...call up our divorce lawyer's.
*Note to self - buy more writs for my lawyers.

It wouldn't takem long to figure out that we where the ones paying taxes.
OK so now I have to relocate (def. blue here). ::thinking:: Anyone know which state has the best militia?

Ya know, ever since Janet Reno, nobody really advertises that...

I'm all for divorce. But what do you do with purple states like mine?

Divide it.
FYI - MN I would color purple too, so I'm in the same boat. The Twin Cities and Northeast are DemonRat central, many suburbs and rural areas conservative.
