Hope all here have a good one I'll be spending mine rebuilding the rear half of my truck breaking system, Calipers pads rotors and hoses.
-
Good luck with that, JF. Y'all have a good one, too.

I wonder: If the white western Europeans who created out country could have looked into the future back in 1776, would they have said "Eff it".
-
I could say "eff it" today. So wife and I run to Sams. I need a couple things for business and we want an ice cream maker. She also wants me to get some sort of patriotic shirt and I'm like, "hey Sam's will have it all".
Well, we were surprised. We go in, there are no flags, no red, white and blue anything. No shirts, no nothing in the nations colors, you certainly couldn't tell we are celebrating a holiday. I get pretty pissy with the manager once he tells me I can go to Old Navy if I want that sort of thing. Apparently this was a store decision.
If you get out, I'd like to know if any of there other stores are being this idiotic. I'm going to chew someone.
-
We will be celebrating Independence Day on that date, what there is left of it.
-
And here I was thinking I was the only one celebrating the 4th, at this time.

You guys can celebrate too when you wake up tomorrow morning. ;D Happy 4th.

I live within spitting distance of the indians so I've been under bombardment for three days now. They brought in the really heavy artillery yesterday. Whatever they're shooting off it's making the ground shake.
Two of my neighbors had their homes broken into so I'm sticking close. I have my favorite street sweeper at the ready with an extra bandolier belt - just because I care enough to do my very best ;D
One thing about not having family anymore is how quickly one can plan out the holidays.
Enjoy your weekend and don't blow nothin off ::laughonfloor::

My patriotic shirt says "Browncoats. I aim to Misbehave", and we will be celebrating by watching the old History School House Rocks followed by Serenity ( We watch the series beginning when the kids get out of school and end with the movie on the Fourth)

I will be going to shoot my Beretta 92 today. I neglect that one too often so decided to show it some love today.
-
Well I learned a few things today:
- Shooting the Beretta so infrequently was nothing short of a criminal oversight on my part
- Old hard drives make for surprisingly durable targets, seriously they hold up to dozens of hits
- The only thing more satisfying than the sound and smell of gunfire on the 4th of July is the ringing sound of a steel target well struck
::victory::
-
Thanks for the range report, Glock.
-
I did the rear brakes only to find an axel leak on the left side. That I will not do without a lift so in the shop it goes. So help me I will have a lift in the next place come hell or high water.
-
Tonight I saw a fireworks show. It was well done and the fireworks were impressive. At some point the national anthem was played and some people sang along for the final bars. All I could hear in my head though was "the land of the warrantless wiretap and home of the indefinite detention." Who needs a 4th Amendment when you've got hot dogs and fireworks!
-
I break out my Don't Tread on Me T-shirt and Molan Labe hat and smile at people. :D

Can I get an "AMEN!"
Unfortunately for me, my 4th was busy and quiet doing domestic yard work.[/list]
-
Well Alan, hopefully you worked in a brew or two and washed it down with some pork products!
-
But of course. No project is complete until a cold brew is consumed.
-
We were away in South Carolina (just got back late last night - thinking of moving south in 2 or so years).
We had BBQ & brewskies (Guinness Blonde) fireworks in the back-yard & much patriotic talk & homage to those who have protected our freedoms!
Happy belated! ::USA::

Parts of me are going south... ::rimshot::
Welcome back Pablo, sounds like a good time was had. ::thumbsup::
