A picture is worth a thousand words.

Google is NOT your friend
They've run roughshod over copyright, kow-towed to the Red Chinese, and help the Muslim Brotherhood.

Privacy? You don't have any.

Google says "Do No Evil"

They mean You. Not them

I dumped google a while ago, and this makes me even more glad I did.

I don't use Google for reasons of principle. The OP for this thread represents that sentiment. It's too bad because my experience with Bing and Yahoo leads me to believe that Google is the superior browser. But I'm not going to support an organization with goals which conflict with mine.

I keep trying to dump google, but I haven't liked any of the others. I will give Bing a whirl, based on this! ::beertoast::

I detest the little Leftists goons who run Google who front load anything Progressive.

As for me, cherries and browsers, I'll take Bing.

Almost every time I've compared my search results google comes up with better results but it pains me to ever use it.

Today I was looking for something in particular and went to google and when I saw the tiny little picture I was annoyed--they honor every conceivable day with a drawing  in their GOOGLE logo--but not this time!  Oh, no, down underneath, very small--just so no one can't say they didn't do something.

I've dumped them to for their anti-traditional rhetoric. I won't contribute to the demise of my country. I did like some of the features which icorporated inn my IE browser but I can live without ofr time being. ::beertoast::

Besides Bing and Yahoo, what else is out there that someone can recommend?

I would like to see the answers for this question. I recently tried switching to Yahoo and didn't like it at all. I have used others and haven't liked them, either. There was one I was using quite awhile ago, maybe two years ago? I thought it was okay, but then I found out it utilized a number of search engines, including google, so I just went back to google.

You might be thinking of webcrawler.com. IIRC it used to be its own search engine, affiliated with AOL, but now it just presents results from other search engines, including Google.

I use Dogpile, not sure what they had up for Memorial Day, but I like 'em well enough.

It had the dog and company posed with a flag and their heads bowed.  Good enough for me.

How was your ... how did you put it? escape from town? ... this weekend?

Oh cool, I'm glad they didn't Google themselves!

Weekend was fine, got the rest of the garden expansion completed, so maybe my back will get a break!  Not sure how long though, have a good quarter of our black dirt left to do something with.  And people are already scheming next years expansion.  Life goes on.

Weather sure was interesting...cool & wet, moderate & breezy and then cloudy/sunny and unbearably hot & humid.  Yesterday while windy was quite nice.

I did catch a couple crappies, one was a mongo-sized beast that was easily over 2 pounds, then my nephew caught a couple, one of 'em a bit smaller than my monster...cleaned 'em up and got 'em in the freezer!

Never saw such large crappies like that in our lake, hope there are more left to get!

 ::thumbsup::

This may have been the one I was thinking of:

Dogpile aggregates the most relevant searches from Google, Yahoo! and Bing and delivers them to you in a convenient search package. With Dogpile, you get the best from the big dogs without all the mess.

At least Google made up for it by acknowledging the Allied soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice on the beaches of Normandy, 67 years ago today.

Oh, they didn't? Well shucks. Maybe if D-Day had been some obscure pop artist it could've had the full Google do-up.

I'm sure you're right on that.
