When we first moved to New Orleans my oldest brother just had to get a "pet" alligator. Of course this particular pet wasn't the sharing kind of beastie (even if my brother had been the sharing sort of person).

The flip side was that I never had to clean up after it. Nasty, smelly, foul little demons!
