MLK might have been a socialist...but he rejected violence...he preached coexistence and assimilation into the nation...not a separation, not supremacy, not division and not destruction. That didn't sit well with those wanting that or the power, wealth and tyranny that comes with it.

About a year ago, I had a long talk with a black pastor. Several hours. We were almost done & he brought up the topic of Obama & Trayvon Martin. I eventually mentioned the part about Trayvon beating Zimmerman's head into the sidewalk or curb --
-- he was incredulous & asked where on earth I had heard that narrative. I mentioned the news outlets.
He hadn't heard (or denied it ever happened) that version, became visibly upset & our conversation came to an abrupt halt.
