Sounds like the east coast when they loaded up all the "lost" children on trains and took them throughout the mid west giving them to families that wanted to care for them.
Couldn't do that today, child endangerment and what not.
We must try harder.

To regain control from the pinheaded leftist "social engineers" who will otherwise socially engineer us all into our graves.
I stopped off to see my folks after work yesterday so naturally I was treated to Fox News ;-)
We watched the Sean Hannity show where Frank Luntz (sp?) did another of his survey shows. A mixed left/right audience was treated to visits by several politicians, including John Kyl, Claire McKaskell (sp?), Jim DeMint, and Rand Paul.
The visitors spoke about current topics and the audience had devices that registered the favorability of their responses to interactive questions with the visitors. Frank know who in the audience was left/right but we didn't - until they opened their mouths. Then they bore out the old axiom that Mark Twain gave us; "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."
In each case the right speaker was candid and spoke from the heart. The left speaker played politics and pandered. And the leftist audience reacted in lock-step partisan fashion. They would give strong favorable ratings to a statement about balancing the budget (for instance) but then down-ding the same opinion from a republican. Invariably the right speakers said "Look folks, we have a problem and we need to do this and this to solve it" and the left speakers said, "Look folks, we have a problem because the republicans won't work with us and compromise (do things our way).
There were obvious ringers in the audience. We are politically savvy folks here but I doubt we could offer "off the cuff" queries like they did. One guy in particular outed himself almost immediately. When Kyl spoke of the conditions necessary and conducive for private industry to rebound and "create jobs" this guy demanded why the government wasn't "giving us jobs"? At the conclusion of each speaker Luntz would call for a show of hands and this guy showed knee-jerk support for leftists but universally rejected pubbies.
So what was the take-away?
Simply, the left hasn't suffered enough yet to pull their heads out of their nether regions and do what is necessary to save ourselves. In several instances they revealed that they understood the problem of crushing debt, and accepted the solution of, say balanced budgets, but only if presented by a member of their party. They routinely rejected the same overtures if offered by an opposing faction. They revealed that they recognize the problems we face but will only accept "salvation" if offered by one of the party faithful. And that party has no intention of offering of going there. The right-siders showed that they were more receptive to problem-solvers irrespective of party affiliation.
The leftists bristled at any intimation that any of this was Øbongo's fault. I haven't seen wagon-circling like this since the Klinton impeachment.
The left continues to play petulant games and dither while Rome burns.

And so it shall be until the Left burns. I've got a pyromania itch....

Mind conditioning, pure and simple.
I dont' know why I watch and listen to Programs like Freedom Watch to find out that the left has the same reply for every scenario.
Tax this, green economy that, Pubbies are at fault for the current mess knowing full well that they've been in control of congress since 2007. ::facepalm::
I firmly believe they don't care about the situation we, as a nation, are in and yes the bottom hasn't been reached in as leftist continue to be and think leftist propaganda. ::bashing::

No matter how bad things get, the leftists/morons will always blame others for the problems.
If you are waiting for an epiphony from them, you will be waiting for the rest of your life.
Ain't gonna happen!
Bet on it!

Crackhead breeders abandoning kids on the streets...
...sounds Turd World to me.
Socialism produces many evils, this is just one of them, but it illustrates the lack of self-discipline and self-sufficiency that socialism targets and destroys.
You can thank your local democrat trash for this condition, and when they say the answer is another socialist program, please feel free to cave in their face.

LBJ's "Great Society" dealt a death blow to the black family unit. After all the trillions of dollars spent on social aid since then, what do we have to show for it? Poverty, crime, illegitimacy, abortion, an utterly failed education system. Oh, and a reliable voting bloc for the Democratic Party -- the real goal all along.

I've said all along the problems in Chicago, Detroit, etc are there by design. The city could end the problems if they wanted but it serves their purposes to have a threatening block of individuals in their midst.
The current "mob" crime in Chicago could be solved in no time but the it serves the mayor and his admin to have the rich, white liberals think they need him to protect them from the bad people and the poor who aren't criminally-minded are so focused on survival they won't ever question whether their officials really have their interest at heart.
