My toilet got plugged. Something very rare for me. So just find my toilet snake, not used in 10 years.
I cannot find it. My son later said I had left it on the porch for him long ago.
It was really nasty and a regular plunger did not work.
So I added some soap. Maybe shampoo or my son's old body wash.
It worked great and flushed.
Yay.
I was dog and house sitting my son's dog (shepherd wolf mix) and a dog he is dog sitting, a corso. His toilet had massive brown scale. I tried everything. Zep spray worked the best. Then using a pumice stone while wet.

Ya scared me, thought a pug got stuck in the thing... Whew!
Never had one go that bad with buildup... I would've got a new one...
Not sure what's in shampoo beyond phosphates and such...whatever breaks down organic matter should open a plug...

The soap just made it slippery.
