Title: new movie - "Red State"
Post by: Glock32 on September 01, 2011, 10:54:36 AM: I just saw an ad for this on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/movie/red-state?feature=fmv). Who would have guessed the subtly titled "Red State" would have a description like this:

"See RED STATE before it is in theaters! After receiving an online invitation for sex from a mysterious woman (Academy Award® winner Melissa Leo*) three teenaged boys head to the town of Cooper's Dell. But instead of enjoying the night of their dreams, the teens are plunged into the nightmarish world of Abin Cooper (Michael Parks), a fundamentalist preacher with a deadly moral agenda. As the boys suffer unthinkable horrors inside the preacher's compound, a military task force is mobilized. Sorry, Kevin Smith. It's not 1994 any more. Your one good movie is a distant memory.

Post by: LadyVirginia on September 02, 2011, 04:33:46 PM: The way I figure it, they need some movies that lose money to soak up the income from the movies that actually make money so they make these to feel good about themselves and take the tax write off. Apparently, the people who run the movie studios don't want to pay any more than they have to.
