The Department Homeland Security is developing a system designed to apprehend you before you commit a crime. The Future Attribute Screening Technology, or FAST, is designed to analyze whether a person is likely to commit a crime, using a long list of factors. Some are akin to lie detection, such as breathing and heart rate, but the system also measures body movements, voice pitch changes, blink rate, breathing patterns, eye movements, body heat changes and prosody (changes in speech rhythm and intonation). The "prototype screening facility" is built to "detect cues indicative of mal-intent" using these algorithms. The system also analyzes factors like ethnicity, gender, age and profession.
If you're not doing anything wrong, then you have nothing to worry about.
Of course, that depends on who gets to define "wrong".

Minority Report
Not so much the land of the free anymore but I'm afraid it will become the home of the brave soon enough
Maybe the conspiracy nuts are more right than we ever thought
This will not be fixed by the ballot box.

All offered uo with exemptions for burka-wearing muzzies. Hey, maybe we could make 'em wear little license plates ::)

They have a system that can detect race? But I thought "there's no such thing as race". They really need to get their story straight.

Define crime.

I guess I am screwed. In the presence of proglodytes and other such stupid and offensive people I'll rock all those needles!

As well as the "define race", "define crime" and "this will not be fixed by the ballot box" comments.
These, gentlemen, are why Pan avoids airports.

Me, too.
But I remember reading an article a couple of years ago by a security expert who was hired by some grassroots group to locate cameras in a designated range of city blocks (New York). It was a relatively small area and I was guessing maybe a 100. They were confident they'd spotted all of them (something like 500). The guy found 2-3 times as many.
I know I don't have the ability to spot them but I am aware of the ones I do see. I kind of believe though no one is really studying all that information. Rather when they decide someone is worth pursuing then they will.
So will someone sweating or having rapid eye movements become probable cause?
