Selfish suicider in Minneapolis...has to totally destroy everyone's day...and days to come...
...but I suppose that was this woman's selfish intent!

She walked into traffic deliberately, but there's no information in that piece to indicate she knew what she was doing; she may have been hallucinating or delusional or any number of things.
Still, not ever something a family should have to deal with.

I'm not a psychologist but I remember reading somewhere that when people kill themselves in a very public way (as opposed to offing themselves at home alone) what they are doing is making a statement. Something to the effect of, "My life sucked and no one took any notice of me so I'm going to kill myself in a way that gets the most attention possible. That'll show 'em."
Stupid, of course.
Do the politically correct psych guys still classify suicide as abnormal behavior? They've removed a lot of aberrant behavior from that list in the last fifty years and it wouldn't surprise me if suicide isn't on it anymore.

On the plus side, at least she isn't wading in the gene pool any longer...that kind of stupidity has no place here.

That's the part that truly sucks, and hence my labelling her as selfish...this public statement kinda crap impacts the lives of the innocent people who are just trying to commute to work and WHACK/THUD/SPLAT their day is trashed by this moron, and good people have to have this sh*tty memory the rest of their lives...all because of this idiot. Now, if it is proved she had mental issues, fine, bad on family, friends and doctors who should have been watching over her and treating her...but I have never been one of those people that condones bad actions because of the situation...people are ultimately responsible for their actions...stark raving don't know who I am or where I am nuts is one thing...such an act like this indicates perhaps despondency and a conscious act...time will tell. Meanwhile, I have more sympathy for the people she victimized and little for her.
