*sigh* As usual. The screen shots he shows are not what I see and clicking on what he says to click on does not bring up the screen he says it should.

Go to the bottom and hit on privacy and it will take to another screen that allows you to do what he said.

There is no privacy at the bottom. That's what I'm trying to tell you; what he sez should appear, don't.
F it.

Whitepages.com does the same thing...
They also allow you to opt-out.
There are probably dozens of websites like this... and I have a feeling that every month their database will refresh off a backup anyway and we'll never keep it scrubbed.
-
Spokeo.com will only allow you to remove like 3-4 addresses for 1 email account. You send them your email and request to be removed.. they send you an email.. you click on it.. it's removed.
But they only allow you to do it for a few postings... you have to keep making new email accounts to remove all your data if you have several entries.
Here is what pops up if you do too many requests:
Looks like if you're a government official the rules don't apply.. you have some sort of power on the internet than a common citizen doesn't have.... imagine that?
-
mylife.com seems to have the most accurate info and LOTS of it so far....
I was right.. there are dozens of dozens of these websites.
I can't see a way to fight it... if you've bought a house they have the info in a computer and its now public. If you have electricity in your house... pay a water bill... have a job.. pay taxes...
There is no such thing as privacy any longer. I don't see a reasonable way to scrub the net of your data...
You just have no common expectancy that anything about you is private any longer.

Work to keep it from being assimilated at a central clearing spot?
ETA
It's interesting that one must provide them with information first
thereby creating another of what one is trying to delete.

I am of the belief that your email you supply gets added to the database.... after a week/month.. they put all the info back.. plus your newly supplied email address.
