Title: My head...
Post by: MacWell™ on March 30, 2012, 07:55:42 PM
wants to explode!

I can't believe that so many fellow Americans can sit on their asses this November. If we the people allow those who believe that America needs to be "fundamentally transformed", to continue, then we can kiss the world good-by.

Maybe those who stay home think it ought
to be fundamentally changed also.

I won't stay at home, but I may not be in a very good mood at the polls!   ;)

Yeah. I will vote for Mittens, contrary to my bombast and frustrated assertions to the contrary. I will not be at all happy about it though. We have to get this bastard out of the White House.

Plus, we'll then have the opportunity to see all the new and imaginative ways in which the E-GOP plans to screw the conservatives who made the whole thing possible!

This is job one.  Period.

Late last week I heard Rush mention that he had met with Romney in January, that the man said there were things that absolutely needed doing, and that he would do them fully expecting the result would be a one-term presidency, and that he didn't care.

That sounded familiar.   ::)

Rush appeared to take him seriously, to think that he was sincere.

Rush's commentary in this regard is being discussed over at RedState. My commentary and the ensuing discussion can be found HERE. (http://www.redstate.com/gamecock/2012/03/30/rush-says-he-has-seen-romneys-conservative-core/#comment-13041)

In short, I don't believe Rush means it from his heart for a second. I hate to suggest that he's being insincere - and that may be a little strong an accusation. But I think he's being a good soldier, and making the best of the fact that Romney appears to be the inevitable nominee. The only other choice appears at the moment to be resigning ones self to another Obama term, and Rush will never, ever do that.

A little bit of 'holding Romney's feet to the fire'.

You know, if Romney actually ended up being sincere about that and takes the action to prove it, I will be the first to give him the credit he deserves. But there's that....and then there's reality.

The reality is we've all said, and know, an election -- even this one -- is not going to fix .... what ails us.

Best not to get agita over it at this point, that's what I keep telling myself.

The title, "My head ...", brings to mind Jimmy Buffet's "My Head Hurts, My Feet Stink, And I Don't Love Jesus".
