Title: Market Update
Post by: Libertas on April 23, 2012, 09:37:26 AM
Looks like Euro-skitters and ChiCom power play & econ worries are driving down things more than anything.

I can see oil dipping a bit, but gold?  More PTB exploitation?

What the heck is this Wal Mart bribery stuff about?

Martin Wolf - more headwinds ahead.

WMT down over 4%.  This bribery thing is in Mexico.  Mexico, really, BFD!  A lot of foreign nations have bribes as a common business routine, but they didn't kill kids in sweatshops like the ChiCom's so the NYT et all has to beat the crap out of them.

Euro-contagion is really driving down the market more than anything.

Big question - if the Old World is in trouble, what does that makes us lined up for?   ::whatgives::

Maybe a little disassociated today but this stuff belongs under the
heading "can't make this up". That little Asian flash crash, nothing
to see there.  I'm going with - machines are making the trades and
they are writing crap as fast as they can - it's their reality.
