Their strategy is no different than the strategy they've always had, they've so infused the Democrat party with progressive socialists that having them come into their fold is a no-brainer, and they correctly see the rest of us (extremists! ha! what a load coming from this malignant filth!) as barriers to be eliminated. Then the Constitution can be finally dispensed and replaced by something more useful for the new politburo and apparatchiks!
Really, the course of action I would advocate in the face of this evil is a course of action I cannot say. Thinking we can defeat these people at the ballot box and they'll simply go away is a bit naive, so what do we do with them?

A nice retort to underscore the reality of the allegation along the lines of "Gosh, Libero, why do you or anyone else in the Communist Party care if Rep. West says there are Communists in Congress masquerading as Democrats?" would be sweet!

To Libertas' point, what is ultimately to be done with these people? Ok, let's say Romney ekes out a win in November. Maybe we even do really well and build a substantial majority in both chambers of Congress. Heck, let's even say Romney gets to make 2 or 3 Supreme Court appointments and he picks stalwart conservatives.
None of that matters to the Left. They never give up, or even relent on those issues they've clearly lost. They are going to always be a problem, poisoning the drinking well at every opportunity.
A more perfect description of Leftists has never been given:

William Blackstone in his Commentaries observed that the punishment for treason is “terrible in that the traitor is hanged by the neck, then cut down alive, that his entrails are then taken out, and burned, while he is yet alive,” and “that his head is cut off, and that his body is then divided into four parts.”

Enough of them should be brought to trial and sentenced as to give heed to any remaining to change their ways or STFU. If it becomes evident that any of the remnent has not conformed he to should be brought to trial. This should continue until their childrens children have no living memory of this pestilence.
Section 3 of Article III of our US Constitution provides in pertinent part the following:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War
against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and
Comfort. The penalty for treason is death.
Corrupting our Constitution is war upon us and they do give aid and comfort to our enemies Marx and Lenin whom they tacitly wage war in the name of.
