“A number of Romney Hawks are now deeply concerned that Ron Paul has already laid the groundwork for similar success in six more caucus states,” Wead wrote.[/blockquote]
...In Minnesota, delegates get chosen in congressional-district conventions, and they are not bound to any candidate. I [Cap'n Ed Morrisey] ran for one of these positions in CD-02 on Saturday as part of a “unity slate” backed by GOP candidates for leadership positions in the organization. None of us even came close to winning; we later found out that the closest anyone else came to winning those slots was more than 100 votes behind the second and third place finishers, who tied. The same tie occurred when electing alternates.
So what happened? Paul supporters organized at the local level and got themselves elected as delegates to CD conventions. They then showed up to the conventions — unlike some others — and played by the rules. At our convention, there were no disruptions, no demonstrations, no attempts to hijack the proceedings. The Paul supporters just organized effectively and outboxed the party establishment...

But I didn't see Paul supporters being successful in my district. They do not have to flaunt it either, we saw them through the motives behind the amendments they proposed in how delegates are selected, we didn't allow them to change the rules to stack the deck in their favor, but apparently that doesn't mean they were not successful in other districts. A lot of what they propose has the patina of egalitarianism, but the practical effect of their proposals is to shift power to their block.
Anyway, it is what it is, and presumptive Romney or not, I wish you well AP!

Romney changes the ratio tonight it'll be different
but right now it's close enough for...............hope.
Santorum's a wild card but according to CNN there's
only 209 delegates between ABR and Romney.

I was bummed when I voted.
Pa has a "beauty contest" where the vote for Pres doesn't really count.
Then you elect delegates pledged to a candidate.
None of the Repub delegates were identified with a candidate.
The dems were listed as commited to Bams
I had no way to identify who wasn't a Romney flunky
I voted for no delegates :(

AP, it seems every state has a machine that runs lock-step with
the E-Pubby's. One way or another "out of line" is neutralized.
