Six weeks after receiving his passport my brother gets this email:
From: DoNotReply @ state. gov
To: XXXXX
Sent: Wed, Jul 18, 2012 11:49 am
Subject: Passport Application Status
We have finished processing your passport, and it has been mailed to you.
Your passport application locator number is XXXXXXXXXXX.
You paid for overnight delivery. This means you should receive your passport on
or about 06/02/2012.

Overnight delivery...after six months...
Yeah, that's the overpaid, unionized, feeble gubmint at its best.
I mean that, it will never get better than this, only worse. Think about it.

In all fairness, the State Department is far too busy dealing with serious matters, like vetting the background of people it grants security clearances to.

Nah, ya missed it. The date of the notice is July 18, 2012, saying the overnight delivery would be there by JUNE 2012, the previous month.

I'm guessing you'll be getting approval for that medical treatment at about the time your family gets the funeral bill.
