AP - Taking time out from her husband's re-election campaign, First Lady Michelle Obama took an unannounced vacation to Russia last week, accompanied by several of her family members.

The surprise visit did not go unnoticed, however, by the locals who commented on her brief appearances in various locations in the Siberian back country. No one seemed to know where the entourage was staying, though.

The White House is refusing to comment on this story.
