Just updated Firefox and superficially the change is akin to rearranging the furniture.
The ribbon is bigger, the placement of function buttons is changed, etc. Many other applications do this also and it is quite irritating.
An update should cause the application to function better, quicker, or more secure.
Updates that requires me to waste my time because they decided to redecorate and usually take up more monitor space with their junk drives me up the wall.
Am I having a bad decade or...?

Miss vacuum tubes, do ya? ;D
Seriously though, yeah...the modern age can be a pain in the butt...and the more technology advances, the older I feel!

No; it ain't us, it's THEM.
Updated mine yesterday to find the same changes. I needed to go find the printer icon and drag that to the toolbar up top and it took me a bit to figure out where the refresh was. I don't appreciate it either, CO.
And Google is up Mozilla's butt, same as everywhere else; it decided I needed a "Google" search up top. I don't use "Google" so I hunted for Dogpile and installed that instead.

eta: Oh, and the order of "open in new window"/"open in new tab" has been rearranged so I keep clicking the wrong one.

I don't notice anything different on mine. I had customized button placement long ago, so apparently it preserves your settings if they're custom. One thing that does bug me is that for the past several release cycles, the update gets an update 2 or 3 days later. It's a minor complaint, they do a very good job to be a volunteer effort, it just gives me cold sweat flashbacks to my senior year Software Engineering course.
