People going crazy. Come on people, Mayan's performed human sacrifices, mutlilated their sex organs in drug induced trances and killed themselves off. What insight do you think they had?
As for the nefarious History Channel's "Apocalypse Island" (actually Robinson Crusoe Island, Chile) -

Doesn't Jesus say in the Bible that anyone who claims to know when the End of Days is coming is pretty much automatically a fraud?
ETA - Yes, Matthew 24:36
"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."
-
Close. It says their suffering will be worse.
-
Now if we can just get the muzzies to buy into the fever...

so as my kids said one day...pretty sure it won't be the 21st of December
If these Mayans were so smart why didn't they predict their end?
On the upside it gives one "cover" to buy a bunch of stuff without looking suspiciously like one of those preppers--you just look like a pop culture idiot

It's a tough decision...if they are truly that stupid, should they be prevented from harming themselves? I mean if you close the mountain...that in itself is not a prevention...

OK, combine hysteria over 12-21-12 with the shootings in CT and what do you get? If you guessed "school cancelled" you would be right!

Is it bad that I suspect that the world ending tomorrow would be a relief? And can the Aliens from Nibiru do the liberals first? I would like to watch.

Heh, yeah, it's not like the human race hasn't earned it, but it would be nice if only the guilty were punished...if there are intelligent aliens abount who are open to negotiations, perhaps a reasonable accomodation could be attained.
