Title: DHS steals TechCrunch founder’s boat over paperwork error
Post by: Pandora on February 26, 2013, 07:39:53 AM
... this particular story of government overreach, starring a gleeful bureaucrat taking the property of a citizen operating in good faith, may get a wider audience than the usual conservatives and libertarians who catch wind of such things. "Good. For every story that gets attention, there are countless abuses that don’t."

"A person with a gun and a government badge asked me to swear in writing that a lie was true today. And when I didn’t do what she wanted she simply took my boat and asked me to leave."

That's chilling. It's not just that they overreached and took the boat. It's that they did it because he wouldn't make their life easy by signing a false document.

Figures, the manufacturer has to be the one to step in and tell the government bureaucrats what color the sky truly is, they'll be damned if they listen to the common sense coming from a common citizen!  I would have liked to have gotten the name of the gleeful babboon masquerading as a customs officer, that jackass needs an attitude adjustment!
