In another time this kind of epic failure fostered almost entirely by Democrats (but not without help form feckless elements in the so-called "opposition" party) would not be tolerated and the guilty would be out on their ass. That was then, this is now...this is the era of the low-information (see Obama voter) electorate, they are too busy riding ass and watching reality TV to give a rats ass about their nation collapsing around their ears...just collect free shyt and screw the rest!
So now I cannot feel sympathetic to the plight of the urban zoos and their ignorant feral population as they feast upon mostly their own...they invade my world they'll meet the hammer...as it is their dying zoos are doing what they were meant to do.
It's all going according to their plan, not mine, y'all dumbasses are on our own!

I'd beg to differ on that date, I se it as November 6 2008.

I think you're both right, in a way. 2008 confirmed that we are a country of adult-adolescents easily titillated by a soaring "black preacher in the pulpit" delivery of bumper sticker rhetoric.
But there was always the chance that during the first 4 years, people would look back on 2008 sort of like your adult self looks back on some of the embarrassing music you thought was cool when you were 13. Well, in 2012 they didn't have the excuse that they were voting for something new, no they doubled down on stupid and put a big exclamation point on 2008.
For me, 11/6/2012 was when I finally accepted that the door had shut on any sort of political correction.
