My theory is that the Clintons are pissed because they don't want their name to be brought up again in the context of a sex scandal and the whole, "stand by your man" BS that HRC was made out to be some kind of feminist hero over. It's utter BS, of course, and that's why HRC doesn't want it mentioned. I think that she doesn't want anyone examining her myth too closely prior to the next presidential election.

Why isn't the FEC all over the $43,000 in campaign funds Weiner paid a detective agency to "investigate" the "hacking" of his twitter account ? In other words , the illegal use of campaign funds to investigate ( cover up ) a lie he committed . Of course that would necessarily involve the FBI which would be constrained to seize Weiner's personal computer ... which probably has God knows what in assorted pornography , up to and possibly including nude photos of underage girls .

You see, it seems that Weiner hired a buttload of interns to work in his campaign. Most if not all of these interns wanted two things and two things only. One, they wanted to get paid and two, they wanted to get close to Weiner's wife so that they would have an inside track to the HRC campaign. What can I say? They are all political prostitutes who want to get paid. (And guess what? Most of them didn't get paid what they were promised. Dumbasses will be dumbasses. Lay down with dogs, wake up with fleas.)
Okay, so here's where it gets hilarious. One of these interns works for Weiner for a month and then quits. She goes to work for some kind of a blog called NSFWCORP and yesterday she writes about her experience on the Weiner campaign. Somehow her article got the attention of the New York Daily News and today she gets featured on their cover with a tell all story (that she wrote). Okay so far. What do you suppose happens next?

TPM called Weiner’s communications director Barbara Morgan to discuss an unrelated story Tuesday and she went off on a curse-filled rant about Nuzzi, describing her as a fame hungry “bitch” who “sucked” at her job. Morgan also called Nuzzi a “slutbag,” “twat,” and “c***” while threatening to sue her.

“I’m dealing with like stupid f**king interns who make it on to the cover of the Daily News even though they signed NDAs and/or they proceeded to trash me,” Morgan told TPM, referring to a non-disclosure agreement. “And by the way, I tried to fire her, but she begged to come back and I gave her a second chance.”

You really should read the whole thing. At one point in the interview Morgan channels a valley girl and uses the word "like" something like fifteen or sixteen times. In one sentence alone she says "like" four times. This prompted one of TPMs commenters to say:
Like, oh my gaaawd! Totally!. Like, Nuzzi is sooooo bitchen. And, like Morgan... like, y'know, gag me with a spoon! Bag that mouth. Y'know? She's like, calling her a bitch and like, the c-word! Grody! If I was Nuzzi, I'd be like, so embarrassed, y'know? I'd be like, so freaking out, and like, "hey, that's like so not cool!" and... it's just like... I don't know. Y'know?
No one could make this stuff up. It would have absolutely zero credibility if you wrote this as fiction.

If only it were truly over and this miserable mucous spatter would just go away. Unfortunately, having once tasted power and fame, the weiner will continue to run for office even if it's something as insignificant as dog catcher. He is the movie actor who somehow once blundered his way into a prominent role of a big production and was never able to land anything else of substance again, perpetually doing the dinner theater rotation in Hoboken.
Pathetic does not even begin to describe him.
One thing that you can take to the bank, though, is that after this most recent fiasco, his conniving wife will almost certainly divorce him. And if he doesn't take it willingly and quietly you can also expect her to toss in some abuse charges (maybe even child abuse charges) to complete his fall from on high.
I suppose that it is possible for him to resurrect himself but it would have to be real. Very, very real. The kind of resurrection where he goes on some kind of a humble pilgrimage and spends years (maybe decades) doing selfless acts for the downtrodden with zero benefit and zero promotion of and to himself. It would have to be something along those lines where it is obvious to anyone who took a disinterested look that he had actually changed. The weiner who argues with the guy in the bakery, who yells at the reporters, who exposes himself online, who is for lack of a better description the very embodiment of the term, "human douche," well...that guy needs to die and be reborn as someone else. And that's because the person who he is now, who he has always been, is not fit for normal human interaction let alone a position of leadership.
Personally, I would like to see that happen. I don't care to see the weiner committing suicide in a year or two or three because his life is "over." I would much rather see him become something he clearly isn't, a decent human being who can empathize with other humans rather than strive to rule over them for the sake of personal power. I would really like to see him turn himself around, reexamine his life and his beliefs with honesty and humility and emerge on the other side as someone better. It is possible. Other people have done this. I have no idea, though, if it's possible for the weiner to change.
