The proposed federal rule, called "Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing," is currently under a 60-day public comment period. Though details of how the policy would specifically work are unclear, the rule says HUD would provide states, local governments and others who receive agency money with data and a geospatial tool to look at "patterns of integration and segregation; racially and ethnically concentrated areas of poverty; access to education, employment, low-poverty, transportation, and environmental health."
States would then assess the best way to integrate communities deemed by HUD's data to not be integrated enough. A HUD official, who did not want to speak on record because of the public comment period, said the rule hopes to better match up HUD-assisted housing with the communities that have good hospitals, schools and other assets.

Burn in hell?! OMDB?! Rubicon?! War?! All of the above!!!
PS-And you know for a fact that libiot bastions of privilege (we have North Oaks and other such communities here in Minnie) will be exempt! Everybody else gets to have the looters and criminals forced upon them.

Sounds like a great plan to spread misery around by Dear Leader. Don't know about you folks but I look forward to having gang bangers move into my neighborhood. It will give me an opportunity to put the new Glock 20 into real world situations. ::rockets::

I guess that's one reason I'm glad I live in a white, liberal, affluent area!!!
They're so much better than everyone else. They'd never let that happen to them. ::danceban::

There's a suburb near me that when confronted in the 60's with the possibly that a developer was going to put up integrated housing the city created a bunch of city parks on the land he was interested in. I always wondered why they had so may dang parks for a suburb. No matter where you live you can probably walk to at least 3 or 4. I'm sure the libs there that have increasingly upscaled it to the point that it looks like McMansion City would not believe that piece of history. But they'd also not want their property values to decrease. So what will they do?

"Affirmative Integration" has been around since the seventies. In NC, to punish whites for moving to the suburbs, some brilliant city planner decided to build low income housing (Read: ghetto) out in the suburbs.

That sort of thing, along with reverse discrimination, is what got Detroit where it is.

Yeah different cities have been trying to engineer this for a long time. When they started getting away from the large scale housing projects and instead dispersing them into smaller apartment complexes throughout the city, I remember my Dad telling me (he worked in a 911 communications center at the time) they could always tell when a new one had opened because they suddenly started getting calls about shootings and stabbings in areas that previously never called for anything more than a cat stuck up a tree.

I live in a rural area and some jackass decided to put some sect 8 houses about a mile from my house.

And Obama et al want to see all of Amerika look like Detroit.

If they move Detroit, S**tholeapolis, Chitcago, ect to the suburbs, who will be left in those cities? Are they going to force an Edina resident into North S**tholeapolis for every North S**tholeapolis moved to Edina?
-
I dunno. Can I get a subsidized place in North Oaks?
