As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible, but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

....but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.
And I've gotten very adept at it, too. ::whoohoo::

I have it down to a science.

I love being old enough to piss people off! It would have been nicer if I were older in the 50's or 60's, some time before the usage of "yes ma'm and yes, sir" went out of style.
But we are not being fair to ourselves. People get pissed easier these days, over nothing more than the expectation that they should do their jobs, mind their own business, etc.
Take shopping for instance. Once that product crosses the price code reader, it becomes my property. I expect it to be treated with respect!
I don't know how many baggers I have pissed off because they are treating my possessions improperly. A can on top of bread? Give me a break! I'll do it myself if I have a problem and tell them so,.
I've had them fight me, give me dirty looks, because I take over the bagging.
You know what? I don't care what the little sh*t thinks, or if they are insulted. If they can't do it right, I will.
Rant sort of over.

If you were older back then, you'd probably not be with us today. That would not be a good thing.
When a libber said, "You don't have to do that for ME," when I held the door open for her, I reacted by slamming it in her face. ::speechless::
Everyone who saw that laughed their butts off! And I liked doing it! ::oldman:: ::cool::

That's hilarious! I've NEVER had a woman do that to me, though. 98% of the time, I get a "Thanks".

That woman was no lady and seemingly oblivious to common courtesy as well! What pisses me off the most about these libbers, is they are ruining it for the rest of us.
I've had men literally push me aside in the grocery store to reach an item. The last time it happened, one male in a group of males said "excuse me" as he elbowed me aside. I said "by all means...men first". Their blank looks and stupidly blinking eyes betrayed their total lack of comprehension behind what my words implied.
Since when did "excuse me" turn in to GTF out of my way?

Mature people, by and large, do not act that way. But idiots are among us, and they are increasing in numbers each hour.

For me, I don't care as much whether I piss someone off

Comes natural, does it? ;D Yeah, I can be pleasant enough...but I've always been more of a counter-puncher (not exclusively, but in general)...but the older I get the less likely I am to give a shyt, the tolerance meter is...well, throw out the meter, don't need that crap anyhow!

I'll give people one shot. After that, all bets are off.
Fool me once, shame on you. There is no second chance.

I have always been congenial and friendly.
However, my bullsh*t tolerance has diminished greatly

As an 'old fart' now, I find it's better to turn the other cheek .......
