Looks to me like something Patton would describe as "a monument to man's stupidity"!
All the rotten eggs in one basket...

Is that some modern's idea of a new-age Ark?
-
It's not a novel idea...the military has had conceptual plans on the drawing board for years for what they envision what the next Super Carrier would be like and then they went bonkers and dreamed up a behemouth that was massive like this but a warship. There has also been designs for Super Luxury Liners like this one appears to be more based upon. This one though has a much larger flight deck than other designs I've seen.
And I'd like to know how something so massive can be powered by anything less than a massive nuclear reactor?
And, not a fan of their route...why not stay for out to sea and maybe contain yourself in the south pacific?
-
It might be workable right along the equator, where you'd have good growing conditions and the Coriolis effect steers hurricanes away to the north or south. And yeah, I can't see how it would be feasible without nuclear reactors. But if you had nuclear reactors that could provide decades of power, combined with some onboard hydroponic farming and some of those huge floating nets for fish farming, you might be able to make it into a fairly self-sufficient offshore colony.

Wouldn't work for me. I'm much to fond of grass and trees.

Something like this would make an ideal target for piracy. Defense?
-
Maybe they could grow that algae crap that can be used for food and all sorts of stuff.
As for defense, they'd almost have to incorporate carrier strategy...air power, missiles, torpedoes...surface and sub-surface screening vessels...could get really pricey...and even then not a guarantee for somebody who was really motivated to take it out just for spite.
Would not want to be that fat a target myself.
I would prefer a modest yacht in the 30-40 range, outfit/armed myself...something small and less detectable and less threatening-looking would be more my style.
Actually, my own sub would be the optimal SHTF sea-bourne vehicle!

Ahh, that good old Soylent Green! (Just kidding!)

All you need is $78 million and about 5 million a year to keep her running.

Not that much fiat laying around.
But...
Numbers for offices in Paris, Dubai, Seattle and Portland are available by calling the main number.
Perhaps I can get to place to swipe one?! ;D

I would only consider it if it comes with a big viewing window and pipe organ.
