Title: Rogue Crosswalks: You can't make this stuff up!

Fed-up Citizens paint own crosswalks after city refuses,  City then pays to remove them. Threatens to arrest those caught painting them.   City then blames feds for making painting crosswalks difficult.   Hmmmmmmm.

Why do I get to feeling this Fed overreach is part of that ever-bloating Fed highway money extortion scheme?
