The "police state" has only been growing rapidly the last decade or so.  They have only gotten more arrogant and more brazen about it since Barry came into office. 

A police state can be at any level in government,   from the federal level down to the local.   In fact sometimes its not even a government agency but an group like a HOA.   (example,  HOA drone that trespassed on my brother property to see the little dent on his garage door.   You had to be trespassing to even SEE the dent).   

It can be from the top (seen often from this regime),  to that rogue  local cop working alone,  either unknown or ignored by superiors.  Most never get stopped as people are often afraid of them. 

It only gets worse the more corrupt the government is.
