Title: Last of a generation, Lauren Bacall
Post by: ToddF on August 13, 2014, 06:03:41 AM
Legendary actress Lauren Bacall dead at 89 (http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2014/08/12/lauren-bacall-dead-legendary-actress-was-8/)

I can't think of anyone left from this generation.  What is it, the past year we've lost Mickey Rooney and Shirley Temple?  Now Bacall.

RIP.

Very sensuous, even in her aging years. Great actress. I was in love with her and she loved me. She just didn't know it.

RIP, Lauren.

Heh, I think Alan and I may have been smitten by the same gal.   ;D

She made some good movies better.  I think my favorite might be "To Have and To Have Not" with Bogey...written by Hemmingway and directed by Howard Hawks...Lauren Bacall (aka "Slim") saying "You know how to whistle, don't you..."

Great movies, To Have and To Have Not, The Big Sleep, Key Largo, The Shootist...

They just don't make 'em like that any more...

R.I.P. Lauren

I read a day or two ago that all 16 icons mentioned in Madonna's "Vogue" are now deceased.
