An environmental bill long championed by the Obama administration and environmental groups was quietly signed into law this week. The bill, initially expected to fail, was bolstered by last-minute support from a group of moderate Republicans seeking reelection in predominantly Democratic leaning states. The bill strengthens environmental pollution penalties, emission standards and creates a surprising new three dollar a gallon tax increase on gasoline.

Game Over. That ensures economic collapse. That is $3 more a gallon on everything that you buy or move using gasoline, including food.
Same would happen if oil went over $150 a barrel for any significant amount of time. But hey, they wanted change, they got it, and I will point it out every time one of the &$^@% liberals whines about it.

Fake.
Yeah, I know, it's sadly believable. But that site's main page has a headline article about the US and Canada engaged in secret annexation talks.

Sorry.
This was sent out to the local Tea Party group by one of it's members

No worries. The plausibility of it, that's the real story.

Its entirely plausible. Its happening RIGHT NOW in the coal industry. The only thing odd about this would be its direct to the consumer nature, and it would confirm the regime didn't care about the voting ( and I still think it doesn't) nor will I be surprised when it does really happen down the road ( and I can almost guarantee it will. Controlling American mobility is as important to a police state as controlling guns and ammunition.

Democrats are too big of cowards to openly do something like that. They'll do it though the back door, through regulation, then blame others for when the inevitable happens.

till they don't have to because the police state is so firmly entrenched and they want thier victims to know who has the power. It will come. The power-hungry inevitably want others to know and recognize their power directly

True, but MNHawk is right, they'll avoid being on record as much as possible, besides blaming Pubbies for inaction (code word for bow to democrats) it makes it easier for O'Bongo to issue decrees.
Once they don't have to pretend to care who knows it will be well past too late anyway...
Hopefully the destruction in place causes the crap to hit the fan before statists can consolidate any more power and resources....
