Title: My newest toy, part 4
Post by: Glock32 on November 27, 2014, 05:00:46 PM
I have finally remedied a glaring omission in my collection.  That glaring omission was the absence of a 1911 pistol.  A few days ago I acquired this new-to-me Kimber Custom TLE II.  An acquaintance knew someone who had a lightly used 1911 and needed money, so I was able to get this at a good price.  I have not yet fired it (range report forthcoming) but I am so far very impressed with it.  It's a glass break trigger.  There's no take up, no over travel, just a crisp click as the hammer falls.

I also think it's quite handsome with the multi tone exotic hardwood grips.

I have a Kimber Custom II, and I love it. It just feels right and I can actually fire it was something approaching accuracy even though I have shot it very little.

Well now, isn't that a handsome looking piece!   ::thumbsup::

Look forward to the range report.  Sadly, my collection is lacking that iconic model.   :'(

But maybe this spring when things loosen up for me I can remedy that shortcoming.

In the meantime, more pics (breakdown parts) and reports!  How are you gonna dress that beauty?  Classic G.I. holster?  Fine leather shoulder rig?

Thanks.  Unfortunately I do not yet have a range report.  Somehow even with a 4 day weekend I didn't manage to get out to the range.  I did put together a new AR though, with one more to do later this week.
