A Federal district court in Texas has ruled as unconstitutional the longstanding ban on the purchase of handguns outside your state of residency. There will undoubtedly be a lengthy appeals process, but maybe this idiocy is finally on thin ice.
If you can buy a long gun at a store in another state, passing the usual background check, why not a handgun?

Interesting. I've never tried to purchase a handgun outside MN, so I never knew such a law existed.

I didn't think you could buy any firearm outside your state, but regardless, there should be no distinction as to state or arms...they all use NICS, right?
Idiots! Fascist monkeys!

So, has anybody tried testing to see if this will be allowed now?

I don't know, but I imagine the Dept. of inJustice was able to secure an injunction while it winds its way through appeals.

The Constitution is the injunction against their unlawful injunction!!! ::outrage::
