Amen, MNHawk.

I saw BB several times, got to meet him in the Green Room once, he was a very nice man, very respectful and polite.  He had a unique sound, the hard-plucking of strings...lots of good songs, this site lists 485 (http://www.songlyrics.com/b-b-king-lyrics/), not sure if that is all of them or not, but I recognize a lot of 'em, he had his staples he played at most every concert ("The Thrill is Gone" always) but most people probably only will know him by his collaborations with Eric Clapton, U2, Van Morrison and Willie Nelson, but even a little exposure is a good thing.  I always liked his version of "Stormy Monday", he toured a lot and enjoyed it and the people he met.  Truly the passing of a legend.

R.I.P. BB

I loved the fact that he worked with artists one and two generations younger than he. BB was a master craftsman and an honorable guy.

One of my favorites...

I've never been a big fan of the old bluesters. Somehow, the trick of playing one note for 16 bars - with emotion - was never my thing. But I certainly appreciate their contribution to music history, BB King being one of the more prominent in my mind. Loved his teamwork with U2 on the song Soup posted.

I know, I'm just a shallow metalhead. Appreciation is all I can muster for Hendrix too.

Rest in peace, BB. I thank you for the tree of inspiration you planted. It grew many good branches.

A BB fan for as long as I can remember, I'm deeply saddened.

RIP, King.
