"The veteran actor was best known for his role as Admiral Ackbar in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return Of The Jedi and even returned for Episode VII: The Force Awakens last year.
Bauersfeld passed away on Sunday morning at his home in Berkeley, California, his manager Derek Maki confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter."
There is an unofficial rumor that his last words, when asked about the Donald Trump candidacy, were: "It's a trap!"
