Title: "After the Republic"

What goes by the name “constitutional law” has been eclipsing the U.S. Constitution for a long time. But when the 1964 Civil Rights Act substituted a wholly open-ended mandate to oppose “discrimination” for any and all fundamental rights, it became the little law that ate the Constitution. Now, because the Act pretended that the commerce clause trumps the freedom of persons to associate or not with whomever they wish, and is being taken to mean that it trumps the free exercise of religion as well, bakers and photographers are forced to take part in homosexual weddings. A commission in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts reported that even a church may be forced to operate its bathrooms according to gender self-identification because it “could be seen as a place of public accommodation if it holds a secular event, such as a spaghetti supper, that is open to the general public.” California came very close to mandating that Catholic schools admit homosexual and transgender students or close down. The Justice Department is studying how to prosecute on-line transactions such as vacation home rental site Airbnb, Inc., that fall afoul of its evolving anti-discrimination standards.

Doggone good post start to finish!   ::thumbsup::

Though remembrances of shared experiences gets my rage-furnace to Charlie Class intensity...really top notch stuff from Angelo!

"Electing Donald Trump would result in an administration far less predictable than any Democratic one. In fact, what Trump would or would not do, could or could not do, pales into insignificance next to the certainty of what any Democrat would do. That is what might elect Trump."

Aye.

"Trump’s slogan—“make America great again”—is the broadest, most unspecific, common denominator of non-ruling-class Americans’ diverse dissatisfaction with what has happened to the country. "

Yup.

"We have stepped over the threshold of a revolution. It is difficult to imagine how we might step back, and futile to speculate where it will end. Our ruling class’s malfeasance, combined with insult, brought it about. Donald Trump did not cause it and is by no means its ultimate manifestation."

^^^^Oh, yeah...so THIS!!!!

We are talking about when, not if...we've said it a zillion times...Trump can buy time, some may need it, I for one could use it to my advantage...but Hillary would compress the time and usher in the main event and anything moving that fast is likely to produce a lot more mayhem and chaos beyond the expected.

Example: (http://hotair.com/archives/2016/09/28/gop-takes-another-suspicious-run-banning-online-gambling/)

Quote
The day after it became public that billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson gave $20 million to a super PAC with close ties to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), three GOP senators introduced legislation that would effectively ban online gambling — a measure Adelson has long pushed for…

The bill is a revamped version of a previous Adelson-backed measure that would ban Internet gambling. The latest version was introduced by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), and co-sponsored by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Mike Lee (R-Utah). The measure would prohibit financial institutions from processing Internet gambling transactions.

Graham in 2015 introduced a previous version of the bill, Restoration of America’s Wire Act.

Two of these three are, or, might have been, a surprise, considering their other positions.  However, it's simply a "find for me within the Constitution the section that gives any of you the authority to do such" point --  because, that's right, it isn't there -- thus another "Are you kidding?  Are you kidding" moment.

And the time has long since passed that churches and religious schools should respond with a hearty "Go F*ck Yourselves" and double dog dare them to send their jack booted thugs into the House of the Lord and physically enforce these edicts.

I strongly get the sense that that is when God will decide to aid His faithful.

I suspect that, after much prayer, a few folks will (anticipating the Almighty's imminent aid) put down an official or 2 who attempt such nonsense..to get the ball rolling.

Isaiah 6:8New King James Version (NKJV)

8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:

“Whom shall I send,
And who will go for Us?”

Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

Great read, btw - thanks for posting Pan.

purchased politicians have so corrupted the process that the attempt to rectify our nation via the ballot box is null and void.
