Title: Harmon Killebrew (74)
Post by: Libertas on May 17, 2011, 11:04:07 AM
Heard on a the radio that his battle with cancer is over.

74 years old.

I remember going to games with my Dad at the old Met, remember seeing him at bat like it was yesterday!

A good player and an even better man!

R.I.P. Harmon.

One of my cousins has fond memories of watching the bright spot that was Killebrew on otherwise horrid Washington Senators teams.

He was a player when baseball was a sport.
The era of Mays, Mantle, Clemente and Aaron

I hate baseball now
