I hear this kinda stuff all the time from co-workers with kids in inner-city schools...

...minority privilege run amok...
Stupid is as stupid is...

St. Paul public schools has been home to this garbage for years, now, with results predictable to anyone brighter than a Poli Sci major.

Yeah, it'll be more of the same old same old...blah blah this, yadda yadda that...BS excuses...all aimed at one omnipresent impediment - the selfish taxpayer not stepping up with enough levies or state taxes...
Seriously...it's all on the parents in my mind, I don't want to hear this "I'm trapped here/I can't leave" BS...if your kids really came first, you'd find a way to a better school option, period. Hard to feel sorry for people when they do so little to help themselves...
And things will definitely get worse in these schools...how could they not?

It's what people in St. Paul overwhelmingly voted for. My violin is small.
