As Yogi would say...'it's deja vu all over again'...

Worries of NO levees busting and flooding...

And for 8 long painful years...Obama did nothing for the chocolate city...?

I bet the presscorpse's omit that last item...

Oh, and TS "Barry"?

Yeah...they'll miss that too!

The levees aren't the problem this time. Everyone's worried about how much rain will fall. The Mississippi River is still swollen from the spring run off from up north. Too much rain and it will just go over the levees.

They keep saying my side's gonna take it in the wazoo. It's a freaking minimal hurricane. We're not worried. Got beer and food. We're ready.

I say that, but we're still worried about all of the rain. We're still getting flashbacks from the 2016 floods.

Yeah I can tell ya being up river we're having a wet summer...high water everywhere...and anything feeding the river is headed your way.  It does seem like the rain from storms is always a bigger issue than the surge.  You're kinda upper-middle of the parishes flooded then IIRC...be safe my friend!!!

If...big if...these weatherpeople can hardly get tomorrow's forecast right...if the storm remnants travel north and fill Mississippi and feeder rivers and stream into it (https://abcnews.go.com/US/barry-moves-inland-highest-rainfall-totals/story?id=64323678) the flooding risks increase.  But those can happen with regular thunderstorms not just ones spun off from hurricanes.  It still comes down to the wisdom or lack thereof of people.
