So it's Halloween (and/or Reformation Day) Saturday, the last weekend before the big USA election here in 2020.
So what are people here thinking it's going to go?
1. About the same results as 2016? Trump win, but not huge. Polls wrong yet again?
2. Big Trump win? Polls really wrong this time?
3. Small Biden win? Polls maybe about right this time?
4. Big Biden win?
1. Guessing this one is most likely. Turnout has been huge, so the overall voting numbers will be larger than 2016, but will it still be about the same ratio? I stood in line for two and a half hours today for early voting. It's not clear if that favors either candidate, so the needle may not move much. The support for Trump with Republicans is huge yet. But will he hold enough of the Democrats he picked up in states like Michigan and Pennsylvania in 2016? Will the Democrats manage to bring out enough people voting against Trump to get it for Biden, since there seems to be little actual support for Biden himself? Trump does have the advantage of being the incumbent.
2. Had Covid not happened, this probably would have been. The economy was finally getting out of the toilet, and that alone probably would have gotten a second term easy, especially against a weak candidate like Biden. Unfortunately I don't see a huge win happening, though it would be really satisfying. Covid has been a huge battering ram on the Trump administration. Trump will never have the full power of the federal government behind him like a Democratic president would, as there are too many there actively working against him.
3. Unfortunately, this is likely too. If Trump loses Michigan, Pennsylvania it's probably over. If it's close, little voter fraud will be necessary for Democrats to steal it too, making it easier for the media to bury those stories. Democrats always have the advantage when it comes to get out the vote, as they are willing to actually pick people up from home to bring them to polling stations, something Republicans continue to not do.
4. This doesn't seem likely. Biden and Harris aren't that popular with Democrats, they are more fired up about getting Trump out than getting Biden in. Are enough Democrats turned off to the fact that they are likely electing Harris to be president? (Most annoying voice since Jimmy Carter!) Will Democrats be really brazen and pull out the full hog with voter fraud if they think they are against the wall? If Biden wins states like Texas, there will be fraud no doubt. On the scale of 1960 even.
Other thoughts. It's unlikely we will know the winner on election night unless it's a pretty clear Biden win. The media will be very reluctant to call it for Trump (like 2016) again, no matter how far ahead he would be. It was really fun watching them in 2016 and a rerun in 2020 would be totally delicious. However if Biden wins it will suck as the arrogance will be on full display.
There will be riots if Trump wins. Democrats will likely cry voter fraud, even though they will be guilty of all of it.
There won't be riots if Biden wins. A few will talk about the voter fraud but it will be quickly buried by the media and the incoming Biden regime.

I’m really not feeling good about it. I hope to have my misgivings proven to be unfounded. Either way, the Left is an existential threat to the very existence of the country. If Trump does indeed win, people need to be held accountable for their crimes, AND steps need to be taken to prevent the radical Left from ever holding the levers of power. A tall order for four short years.

If it were an honest election it would be a blowout for Trump. He and his team have done a magnificent job of campaigning.
But it won't be an honest election. The left already promised us that they would do anything to prevail - and by their actions I believe them. So Trumps total will be offset (partially nullified) by illegitimate leftist votes. Trump will still win, but not by much.

I live in Northern Minnesota now, in an area that has traditionally been working class “DFL” (our state Democrat/Farmer/Labor party). The miners of the iron range, shippers of Duluth, farmers, and traditional Humphrey Democrats have essentially added to the Twin Cities and Rochester vote to make MN a solid blue state my entire life.
These blue-collar folks have been slow to change, but they are changing. As the Leftists in St. Paul move further and further away from governance that has anything to do with labor or farming, and only caters to the radical fringe, these people have been shifting red over the past few election cycles. Trumps attention to the needs and dreams of the working class has moved them further red.
... and yet... driving around, I see plenty of Biden signs. A whole lot. I can’t help but shake my head and wonder, what in the hell is it that you believe these radicals have in common with you? They sh*t on you every chance they get, and it’s still not enough to wake you the f**k up!
We’ll see. IF Trump wins MN, it will be because the Iron Range finally has had enough of being taken for granted by the Left, AND the DFL is unable to manufacture enough votes to come from behind and steal it.

I think the blowback from the lockdowns, especially in blue/purple states and the economic devastation it has done cannot be dismissed...I think the bogus impeachment and coup plots have exposed the DemCom/DeepState/DemCom Media conspiracy...I think the strength Trump has shown over where he was vs Clinton cannot be underestimated...and I don't think the DemCom's understand how appeasing or outright supporting the BLM terrorists and Antifa terrorists and watching their blue cities burn and blue citizens abused and killed and cops of any race being executed is perhaps the biggest blowback against them...it is why there is record Latino and Black support for Trump at a level a RINO Pubbie could never hope to achieve...
Sure, they are cheating and committing fraud on a scale eclipsing 2016...but the enthusiasm gap alone and the fact that some of that fraud will be thrown out indicates to me that the baseline is a victory no less than 2016's...but upside...

We voted on Friday. The arrogant and power-mad running the early voting site had us wait in line outside behind another couple until they deemed it acceptable for us to enter, and yet stood in the doorway to make sure we went in at their speed, not ours. Then, when finished voting, the door at the other end of the room was indicated as an exit without mentioning (the sneaky sonsab itches) we had to walk all the way around the building back to the parking lot. No crossing past people coming in, donchaknow, despite masks and plexiglass.

I live near Mpls. No Trump signs because who want's their car keyed or worse.
The libs want to turn northern MN into some kinda game park or wilderness to visit on occasion.
I see an ad on TV about the meanies who want to turn the state over to 'foreign mining interests'.

I answered several panicky phone calls last night from family and friends fearful about the race. I guess they didn't care for my analogy - that the election was like a runaway train, out of control and hurtling toward the burnt out bridge, and scoffing at my news that I had managed to fix the cigarette lighter.
The plain unvarnished truth is that we're f**ked. We're f**ked as a society, we're f**ked as a party, and we're f**ked as a nation. Last night's fiasco demonstrates conclusively that there are too many mindless morons to survive. Even a Trump win would represent only a temporary reprieve.
The good news is that we no longer need to hold our breath or our tongues. I hate the miserable motherf**kers and wish them the most painful of possible deaths. With any luck I will have the opportunity to hasten the fates of many of them.

Anyhoo, listening to local radio this a.m., a man called in, said he voted for the R for Governor (Dan Forrest), but his wife and his two daughters, although they voted for Trump, voted for Cooper-D because all three are in the medical field (one MD, two nurses) and feeeeeeeeeeeeeel that masks MUST STILL BE MANDATED. Forrest would make them voluntary.

Maybe the whole human race will. But we won't be around to see it.

I am wondering if I should abandon all my work here, take a big payout on the property from a city dweller and move to Wyoming. WTF happened in Arizona? Are there that many ex-Californians there now?
When I went to bed last night, it looked ok for the most part. Trump had decent leads in Wisconsin and Michigan. Not in the morning though, now behind by very small amounts, hmmmmm. Pennsylvania seems to be holding (amazingly when you consider the train wreck that is Philly) with a half a million lead. I think Georgia and North Carolina will still end up Trump, but that will be small comfort if both Michigan and Wisconsin are lost. Because I see no way for Trump to win without at least one of them, especially after losing Arizona.
Solid wins for Trump in Florida and Ohio. You never know what way Florida will go. Ohio has been flaky the last 20 years now, so at least they are out of play.
I knew the night would bring new "voters" for Biden, but it's discouraging. I know a huge Trump win was a long shot, but it would have made the voter fraud so much harder, as they would have had to go big with it. Now they won't need too much to make it happen, making it easier for the media to completely ignore it.
It looks like we actually got option 1 to happen. Trump actually got more votes then he did in 2016. So he lost few voters from 2016 and overall gained some. But voter fraud is going to make option 3 happen anyway. Most of that fraud is happening as I type now, the longer it goes the worse it gets. And if the SC helps Trump you all know what they will be saying forever. But who cares, they never accepted the 2016 (or 2000 for that matter) results, if it's the lawyers that make it happen so be it.
It's not over yet folks, but it's a nail biter for sure. I think it's up to the lawyers now. Hope Trump has better ones.

I don't think that the various powers that be realize how tenuous their situation is - and by their own making. People like me are feeling cheated, and angry, and powerless to do anything.
The only recourse people like me have is to go to the gun.
Of course it is absurd for me to say anything - my state is 100% owned by the left so I haven't had a voice or opinion in almost 30 years. Who am I going to "correct"? Truth is, I could make a splash but it would be pointless - won't change a thing (except my circumstance).
So, in truth, I have no say, no power, no control, and consequently no hope.
