Title: Aerial photos of the flood damage in Vermont
Post by: rickl on September 06, 2011, 06:42:59 PM
Mind boggling. (http://www.mansfieldheliflight.com/flood/)

(hat tip Ticker Forum)

P.S.:  How about a Weather category?  It affects us all, one way or another.  We already have a Climate Change category, and that's largely mythical.

Looks like the Red River, Minnesota River or Mississippi River when they experience bad floods in the spring.  You just don't think of it in Vermont.  But any low-lying area is vulnerable if enough water comes after it.

Prayers to the afflicted.

Doesn't anyone remember Agnes in 1972 as it just stood stationary spinning while it rained and rained until bridges, roads washed away bit by bit?

Drove up I-83 from Baltimore today and saw a river where none was before(after 6 inches within two hrs. Drove south on the way to work and passed two arks. ::rolllaughing::
