Title: Obama Regime - Half-assed Support for Taiwan

“She left us with distinct doubts about whether she is both willing and able to continue the stability in cross-Strait relations the region has enjoyed in recent years,”

If we had a real POTUS who doesn't drop to his knees, bow, or pee himself in front of the ChiCom's we'd be arming the Taiwanese to the teeth and basing ships & planes there...

Oh well...

Like Obama always says/does - a job not worth doing is worth doing half-assed!

 ::facepalm::

ETA - Sorry CO, guess FT wants people to register, screw that noise!  Put WaTimes link in as a replacement.  Drudge link to FT worked, could try that.

Wonder if that will work?  Simple.  Taiwan is set to boot the leftist garbage from power, and to put the right back in power.  Our child in chief doesn't like that so he'll stick his sleazy Chicago nose into their election.

The Obama administration has warned that a victory by Tsai Ing-wen, the Taiwanese opposition leader, in the island’s January presidential election could raise tensions with China.

Real women scare metrosexuals.

Let's face it.  The trash from Chicago has picked sides.  Guess which one?

The US Department of State is declining for the first time to address an annual industry conference on defense and security ties between the US and Taiwan, the event’s organizer said.

China has been building up its air forces along the coast opposite Taiwan with more advanced warplanes, including Russian-made Su-27s, Su-30s and Chinese J-10 fighters.
...
Before the decision on the arms package, 181 House members from both parties wrote to Mr. Obama Aug. 1 urging him to sell the new F-16s. That followed a similar letter from 45 senators in May calling for the new jets.

They also need submarines and interceptor missiles and cruise missiles.
It's Bush's fault, he could have pushed these sales through in '06, he could have
neutralized Iran also.

Definitely yes on the former, the latter a tougher sell but then again if you can't tackle hard stuff stay out of the Big Chair!  Seems like many latter day Chief's have a couple big uglies they take a pass on doesn't it?
