A (step?) dad who's a tax evader.  A mom that collects bribes.  What's not to like about everything that goes into the making of a Debbie Wasserman-Hyhen!

Sounds like the basis for a kick-ass doctoral thesis...how left-wing trash attracts and creates larger entities of trash...exponentially increasing the chances for more trashiness to ensue.
