An excellent analogy:
 
 
 
A  simple way to look at the Debt Ceiling.
 
 
Let's  say You come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup in your  house and you have sewage up to your ceilings. 
 
 
What  do  you  think you  should do,  Raise the ceilings, or pump out the sh*t??? 
 
 
Your  choice.!!!!!

Option B of course.

But when your landlord is the one filling your nation full of sh*t, where do you pump your sh*t to?

We have to consider we may need an option C - move away to higher ground!
