Watch this short film from the early 1960s and I guarantee you will have two thoughts in particular while watching it:
1. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
2. You could fit the world we live in into this documentary with only a few cursory changes to names, dates, and places. The rest is virtually interchangeable.

In particular, take note of the laundry list of "organizations" cited as communist fronts. Do they not read just like a list of the groups currently infiltrating and agitating every facet of our society? Some of them are probably the same groups even. I also took note of the fact that this documentary was produced by the US government. Now that very same government is thoroughly infested with exactly what the documentary warns of. That indicates just how far along they are in their "long march".

"Progressive" is a nice word for "Socialist" which is a nice word for "Communist" . There isn't a dime's worth of difference between the three ...Look them up in your Funk & Wagnall's . All three propose government control of planning and control of all means of production and redistribution of all wealth . Those videos are an excellent demonstration of how the struggle against the evil of communism is nothing new. The nature of the enemy we face is exactly the same as every other communist threat that has come before, and it would be utter folly to think that should they gain the power they seek, the results would somehow be any less horrific.

I always considered socialism to be communism on the "easy-installment" plan and progressivism as Americanized socialism.
