What I don't understand - in Europe OR America - is how on God's green earth half of all people could possibly believe that Islam is a religion of tolerance. The head-in-the-sand cowardice to face the threat head-on is so illogical to me.

Not just the ground zero mosque, but any mosque built in the USA.

I'm as tolerant of islam as they are of me.

What I don't get is how half of all people consider Islam a religion. The more I read, the more I realize Islam is NOT a religion, but a cult. The US needs to remove the tax exempt status of all mosques, and declare Islam a cult, similar to what Italy did.

Yes, it is way more than a religion.

It is:
1 - a religion (a belief system)
2 - a government of laws that duplicate our triune system: enforcement, set of laws, and judgment
3 - a monopoly (an ideology that is incompatible with all other ideologies)
4 - a demand for total compliance with death for those that don't
