Title: Bob Welch
Post by: ToddF on June 08, 2012, 09:50:49 AM
For those of us who knew there was a Fleetwood Mac before 1975

Fleetwood Mac - Sentimental Lady (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvCUJgnVg3o#ws)

He would re-do that song in the late 70's and have a big hit with it.

Former Fleetwood Mac member Bob Welch dead at 65 (http://music.yahoo.com/news/former-fleetwood-mac-member-bob-welch-dead-65-005513069.html)

Bummer.  RIP.

I have to admit I'm a '75 -> Fleetwood Mac fan. But I sure remember that song remade, and what a hit it was.

RIP.

I was surprised as who, though.  I saw the headline and immediately thought Peter Green, as he's had some...issues let's say.

"self-inflicted gunshot wound"

"quoted his wife Wendy as saying Welch had spinal surgery three months ago and doctors told him he would not get better, and he did not want her to have to care for an invalid."

OoooKaaaay.

 ::speechless::

Forgot about the tie in of FM to John Mayall.  Good harp player there!
