Honduras is gaining some respect. I recall shortly after Obongo was immaculated, there was a crisis in Honduras where they deposed the leftist who was trying to usurp their constitution. Obongo, of course, sided with the leftist.
Now they are forming a new model city for free enterprise and limited government.

Hmmm... an experiment in economic liberty and limited government?
Nah. It'll never work.

I hope it is inland and away from the sea, the rush of that many people into it could slide the town into the drink!
-
No it's ocean front on the Caribbean Sea. Not that it needed to be even more enticing.

I wonder if they accept gringos?

I might be investigating that question in a few months.

I nominate Glock32 official IAL Ambassador with full plenary powers, all in favor say "aye", all opposed say "nay", the Chair rules the "aye's" have it, motion passes.

(ahem!)
Time for a new Supreme Court in Honduras?
Come on, how hard can it be? It's Honduras!

It has occurred to me that we would get the exact same answer if we managed to enact some amendments of our own here. There's truly no government of and by the people anymore. It's all about what an elite technocrat priesthood decide for us.
Theoretically, a constitutional amendment supersedes anything in the existing document that might otherwise prohibit it, hence the term amendment, so I echo your ::facepalm::. And I know that's exactly what our black robe mafia would do here too.

Also, is it conspiratorial of me to ask what role our own illustrious government might have had in this?
-
It wasn't government it was G.E.\

Maybe we can all meetup and become Lords and Ladies of the sovereign Principality of Sealand. (http://www.sealandgov.org/history)

Heh! Sealand sounds nice but hard to maintain without outside support/supply.

The location is a logistics nightmare.

If you had your own navy and air force...maybe you could make it work, but if I could afford that I could afford a better location!
