Title: NBC News Reporter Stops Returning Carnival Cruise Passenger From Quoting Bible

NBC has really emerged as a prime enemy.

As stranded Carnival Cruise passengers began finally disembarking in Mobile, Alabama, late Thursday evening, MSNBC had NBC News correspondent Mark Potter on the scene to speak with them.

One young lady during her over three minute interview tried to cite a Bible verse that helped her get through the ordeal, but Potter pulled his microphone away and quickly ended the discussion...

(video @ LINK)

MARK POTTER, MSNBC REPORTER: It sounded like you guys handled it pretty well. Were there some passengers who seemed to have a really rough time on board?

BRITTANY FERGUSON, RETURNING STRANDED CARNIVAL CRUISE PASSENGER: Oh, absolutely.

POTTER: Tell me about that.

FERGUSON: Well there, it was just really frustrating. There’s rumors going around because we’re completely disconnected. We had no idea if like, “Oh my gosh, do people even miss us? Do people even know about this?”

KENDALL JENKINS, RETURNING STRANDED CARNIVAL CRUISE PASSENGER: They'd be running “extended vacation.” I’d be saying, “Absolutely not.”

FERGUSON: Yeah, not an extended vacation.

POTTER: And would you do this again? Would you take another cruise, or is this it?

JENKINS: No. We're thinking about teaming up and sell ours. So if anyone is looking for a discounted cruise, we got one.

POTTER: You're not about to go back?

JENKINS: No, but one thing I do want to say that really made a huge difference in my time versus some other people’s time is we knew where hope was. We knew the Lord was in complete control of the situation. Our verse for the trip was Joshua 1:9 which is…

POTTER: [Takes microphone away] Okay, well thank you both very much. Enjoy your trip home to Houston and enjoy that first warm shower and that warm meal. Thank you very much. Thanks for talking with us.

JENKINS: [Before walking away] Joshua 1:9, look that up.

The "offensive" bible verse the NBC "reporter" deemed too controversial for broadcast?

Quote
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

There was a time - not long ago - when people's stories of faith pulling them through adversity would have been a prime interest angle of the news media. They are trying to rob us of all that we are and have ever been.

Kind of reminds of the recent story in a lot of the science news publications. Some scientists have been studying things like cosmic rays and discovered a baffling order and consistency, leading them to speculate on the possibility that the entire universe is in essence a giant computer simulation.

I'm not even discounting the idea, what I take note of is that they just have to come up with some convoluted way of saying the creation of God. I mean, isn't "computer simulation" just some couched way of saying "God's universe" while trying to keep it in the realm of science and technology.

Renaissance scientist liked to ponder on "the watchmaker", so to put a modern twist on that I say these scientists should ponder on "the computer programmer".

One of my all-time favorite Sci-Fi movies is "The Day The Earth Stood Still (the original with Michael Rennie, not the remake with what's his name).

In one scene "Klaatu" is taking in the sight of the landed spaceship with his new-found friend "Bobby". A roving reporter is eliciting reactions to the alien craft from the gathered spectators. The reporter seeks out Klaatu for his opinion but, when that opinion doesn't comport with his alarmist meme he is cut off. Apparently the art of twisting the news to fit ones agenda isn't anything new.

Reporter or propagandist - you decide.

I was at least one who did.

The United States was formed with self-governance by a moral people in mind.  The Founders also understood true democracy will fail and was one reason for them wanting voters to have skin in the game via property.  But the real problem is that our Nation will not survive.  Period.  Oh, there might be some pieces here and there, but the concept of self-governance by a moral people is long gone now, forget tomorrow.  One look at San Fransicko's Castro Street Fair highlowlights our Country's current lack of moral underpinnings, not to mention having an amoral race baiting grifter street hustler for president.  Our Forefathers knew without being a moral people we will fail (or learn to vote ourselves money from the public treasury leading to collapse and failure).  So here we are.  Our Rights are turning into needs.  Needs can be curtailed PDQ.  To curtail Rights takes longer, but they're doing a mahvelous job doing precisely just that.

In my opinion, that is exactly the way it is.  It's not very often that I hear this opinion expressed...

She should have said "koran" and then gave the Bible verse.

What  a pos. As soon as this Mr. Jenkins became something he, personally, had no interest in, then the "professional" interest disappeared.

Yeah, no bias there.

Their degree of dissembling, lying, and sleight of hand is now truly at Alice in Wonderland levels. They're now gaslighting (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaslighting) so blatantly that they will you you're not wet and cold even as you're standing in a downpour.

They like to dismiss the accusation of a left wing bias in the media by suggesting that the complexity of such a conspiracy automatically disproves it as being possible. But first of all, we do know there are indeed conspiracies among these turds, the outed JournoList being merely the best known example. Further, it's entirely possible to have a strong leftist bias in the media without there being any higher level conspiracy. It's as simple as little subtleties like "editorial discretion" in deciding what will and what will not make it to print and air. Over 90% of them come from the same poisonous little milieu, so their editorial filters quite naturally favor a leftist view.

Gaslighting - excellent metaphor!

Only problem is that we are better grounded in reality than they are. Hence our frustration and resistance to their bullspit.

Yes, their Left-Fu only works on the weak-minded, fortunately for them they have helped create a vast pool of wretched weak-minded fools who have learned how to get free bananas by flipping levers in voting booths for DemoNazis.  They just wander back into their cages and watch American Idle and Snooki and await the next round of freebies.

Since we cannot be gaslighted, it appears they just plan on gassing us.

The media is basically just one collective voice of "these aren't the droids you're looking for".

And a lot of weak-minded fools go back to reality TV content that all is well.
