Look at Washington State. The Nisqually Glacier on Mt. Rainier is growing. Glaciers on Glacier Peak in northern Washington are growing. And Crater Glacier on Mt. Saint Helens is now larger than it was before the 1980 eruption.
Or look at Alaska. Glaciers are growing in Alaska for the first time in 250 years. Two years ago in May, Alaska’s Hubbard Glacier was advancing at the rate of seven feet (two meters) per day - more than half-a-mile per year. In Icy Bay, at least three glaciers advanced a third of a mile (½ km) in one year...

And the Juneau Icefield, which covers 1,505 square miles (3,900 sq km) and is the fifth-largest ice field in the Western Hemisphere, is also growing.
According to Michael Zemp at the University of Zurich - one of the scientists that Al Gore likes to quote - "some positive values were reported from the North Cascade Mountains and the Juneau Ice Field." ("Positive values" means "growing".)
The fifth largest ice field in the entire Western Hemisphere is growing, and no one is bothering to report it....

The predictable response will be some variation on the claim that increased temperatures mean more water vapor in the air meaning more snowfall meaning glacier expansion.

What this really means is drought. With the glaciers keeping all that moisture locked up, there will simply be less water to become vapor and rain so the sky god won't be able to create rain for the crops. ::facepalm::
I guess there's no two ways about it, anthroprogenic global warming is the sole cause of ...well....everything.
Next they';re be telling us that global warming has connections to terrorism, stay tuned for that explanation coming from a network near you. ::hysterical::

The greenies are an entertaining bunch.....I have a few greenies visiting my business and I normally don't strike up any conversations...Let members do thier thing...But I had one comment about my constant washing of towels in my business and the necessity to save water because there is a "global shortage"..... I'm guessing she could feel the bad vibe I was giving off because she continued with " but I understand not everyone believes that man is warming the earth and using up her resources".
I really wanted to take her to task...but I relented and only commented the green message wasn't consistant, in which she bit and said why not?
So I commented, you just told me there is a water shortage. You are also telling me the earth is warming to the point the seas will rise several feet. Which is it? In which she blathered something about drinkable water....To which I told her most water is filtered and astronauts actually drank their own piss on missions.
That kinda confused her.

I remember back in the 70's reading several articles about global cooling and by 2000 we'd be pretty cold because another ice age was coming. Plus we were overpopulating the world and would also run out of gas by then.

I remember all that. I was well into my rebellious years but even then that crap generated zero interest in me. Even I knew the planet, the solar system...the entire universe was largely out of my control . Funny how a bunch of smelly 60's hippies who hated government of any kind grew into these brain-dead morons wandering around today thinking man is the master of all and can change the climate and no better vehicle for that than a gigantic government! And population can be controlled only through abortion because don't you dare infringe upon our free/no consequnce sex!

Libertas, I'm convinced that the real root reason for most of what liberals I know advocate is based on their fear someone will tell them who they can have sex with and when. Think about it--if you can't exercise self-control, you don't want anyone calling you out on that which turns into an adversion to being told of any rules from common decency all the way to the Constitution.
