Google is diving headfirst into the climate-change debate with a "21 Club" of hand-picked experts that the search engine giant hopes will drive the conversation -- and guide investments -- in climate change.
But it's a discussion that even the club's members say is meant to be one-sided.
“If Google included people who challenged that debate, they would be wrong to do so,” said Matthew Nisbet, an associate professor for the School of Communication at American University and one of the 21 Google Science Communication Fellows.
“As to whether climate change is happening, humans are a cause and it is a problem -- there is no scientific debate over that," Nisbet told FoxNews.com
A review of the 21 Club confirms Nisbet's comment. The group includes meteorologists, communication specialists, and even weather forecasters, as well as few scientists who research climate change for a living. None argue that the planet isn't in imminent danger.
Okay, I'm gonna keep my gmail address because I have to but as of today I am finding a different search engine...one that isn't trying to make my life suck.

And lemme guess.... the "21 Club" has a fevah, and the only cure is.... more Socialism!

That's right, none of their little cult is "denying the planet is in imminent danger" and they can say that because they're not about to let those horrible deniers, those skeptics, into their club.
I hate these people.

If there is a better mapping & street view tell me and I'll use it.
I use Bing for regular search unless it fails me. If it fails me KMA-Goolge I use.
-
I use Yahoo almost exclusively. From what I've been able to see online in a cursory search, their CEO Terry Semel has donated to both parties but leans Republican. He supported Bush, Fiorina, etc, with a good measure of Dem dollars donated as well.
It seems like the results of their searches are every single bit as good as Google's.

Yahoo used to use the Google search engine; don't know if it still does or not tho'.

I do not care if a bunch of like minded people want to form a group. It is what we have here, but to exclude differing opinions because they believe there is no scientific debate left makes me wonder why anyone wants to be in this group.
In addition, no self respecting scientist ever quits validating and researching...even thier own discoveries. It is not research and you need no further validation if you have already come to a conclusion.
So, it must be to "drive" money to them.

As if there was going to surprise me as to their leanings. That's like claiming the CCCP was a communist party. ::doh::

Regime alignment?
Google would be a useful tool for re-election and very useful after.

I would be interested to know the answer to that. I tried an alternative one to google for awhile, and then I found out it was also utilizing google.

No surprise there . Google has always been "an organ of the left" . Which "organ" I'll leave to someone else's salacious mind !

And Obama is the chief organizer!

I don't suppose Eric Schmidt is bright enough to know what exactly it is, that powers the vast server farms that make up, Google, does he?
Maybe it's OK if that power disappears whenever the wind does. What's good for the British people surely is good enough for Google, right?
Right?

When you are allied with the Regime you need not concern yourself with such mundane concerns.
